South Side Baptist Childcare Center: Director, Johanna Kiser      (NOW ENROLLING CHILDREN !!)

Our church operates a childcare in the building every weekday from 6:00 am until 6:00 pm.  We accept children beginning at age 6 weeks up until they are 10 years old.  We provide transportation for before and after school care to the children that attend the Glenn O Swing Elementary School.  Our childcare workers all have 15 hours of training a year and background checks are done on everyone.  We teach a curriculum to every age group and strive to help our children with the process of "growing up".  If you would be interested in our Childcare and would like more information, stop by and visit us.  Enter through the rear blue door and ask for Mrs. Jo.  Or you can phone us at 859-431-1314.

MOORE ACTIVITY CENTER "MAC": Director, Amy Wilhelmus

Our church purchased a bar that was practically attached to our building and God has seen fit to allow us to convert this building into a vital, functioning ministry center.  This building is now used to restore some of the same lives that used to be destroyed in this bar.  There is AA meetings each morning beginning at 8 am.  There is also many activities to minister to the children and their families here in the community of Covington, KY.  Including tutoring, fun time for children to do gym time and bible study on Thursday nights, drop ins, family nights, homework help to school age in childcare center, back to school shoe giveaway, and backyard bible clubs throughout the city.  If you would be interested in volunteering, giving to, or seeing this ministry first hand please contact Amy Wilhelmus at 859-261-2300.  You can also learn more by going to the website at "macmissions.com."

FOOD & CLOTHING PANTRY: Director, Yevanna Foley

Our church also operates a food/clothing pantry that is open once a week from 10 am to 12 noon every Thursday.  We minister to about 60 - 70 families a month through this ministry.  Our church would not be able to do this if it were not for the FREESTORE FOODBANK.  We purchase everything we need to minister through our food pantry from them.  We also get donations from other churches and individuals, that is a big help.  We also minister to about 150 families at Thanksgiving and Christmas through our giveaways.  If you or someone you know needs food or children's clothing and you/they live in Covington please come on Thursday, bring a picture ID & proof of address and we will try to help you.  If you have any questions please call Yevanna at 859-431-1314.
